Review on Ergon GP5 Ergonomic Grips by Dale Hing

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive compared to others but wait they are the best!

great pens, this is my third set! Two GP3s and now these GP5s. They are on my 2021 Specialized Sirrus 5.0 X and have changed my ride and comfort in many ways. They're hard to find and yes, they ship from the UK and sell worldwide! and they are pricey but worth every damn penny shilling loons and koala if that's your thing lol. In any case, make sure "big" is your item with larger hands, as the rubber grip is thicker and smaller hands will need a thinner grip. . Also the trim length of the handlebars is different to account for braking and gear position for "flat" bars versus "shifting" bars if you have one. Finally, do not overtighten the locknut on each handle. This is very easy. Do not use SAE (US) hex wrenches, only metric (EU) as most if not all fittings in the world are metric when bikes are used, apply light pressure and set the wrench deep rather than at an angle on. Once these nuts are removed, you cannot remove them! Maybe even tighten the NM with a torque wrench, that would be safer. Hope all of this helped.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • high price
