The range is too strong, probably good for a very large property and not close to home.
Good news: It works. I barely had enough wire for our .25 acre lot. Failed to break wire. I also had to reduce the signal to almost 0 as it has a very long range. The dog couldn't be next to the wall where the wire was. Also, I just don't like the camouflage color, that was the only option.
