If you have young children, this could be the answer! (Time will tell!)

If you have children, this could be the answer! The time will show! I just hooked it up last night. Everything seems fine so far. I recently bought some new PS4 controllers to use with my PS3. I have 5 years and 8 years. In 2 weeks I went through 2 Jr. mini USB charging cables and took my time plugging it in to charge or bending the end of the cable. Sometimes they leave the cables plugged in and then sit on top of the cables, putting stress on the USB ports on the controllers and console. Not good. This seems like a great solution to my problem. Here's how it works: When the controllers are charged, the icons on the base unit that represent each controller will disappear after a few seconds. When the controller is low, the icon stays on. MANUFACTURER: The best way to do this. People like to see a visual cue of things all the time. Is it on base, is it not on base, is it charged and that's why the icon isn't lit? My idea is if you put the controller on the base when it needs charging the icon will keep flashing. When the controller is charged, the icon will be solid to indicate it's ready to use. This way the user will know if the controller is properly installed in the base unit. If I plugged the controller into the base unit and after a few seconds the light went out, I have no idea if it's charging or not making contact, right? This is just my opinion, although it works the way they have it. A NOTICE. The small USB adapters come in a very, very small box that is attached to the bottom of the base unit packaging. I had to disassemble the box to find it. Adapters are connected well and firmly to the controllers, and the base unit is connected via a regular cable. (Not a big ugly wall module) You just place the controllers on the base unit to start charging. No cables to worry about and no USB plugs to unplug and unplug every time! So many times I've used my controllers and the kids wouldn't charge them because they didn't plug them back in with a cable. No problem for them! As long as I like it I will update in the future if I encounter any problems. It would be nice if another spare adapter was included in the kit.
