This is my second purchase of these scissors, these are my favorite scissors especially for everyday use. I always keep a pair on my desk and a pair in my van. I love the non-stick feature and it's not as gigantic as regular adult scissors but still has all the great features without being "kids scissors" - you can make a decent amount of cuts with them without getting tired or tired to feel frustrated. with results. I also use them to open clamshell packages and remove those pesky T-shaped plastic things that attach tags to clothes, socks, dolls, and stuffed animals. They'll get a five star rating, but a pair I own developed a large accidental crack in the plastic where the shear pins attach to the handle after about three months of normal, possibly infrequent, use. I bought them in late August during a school sale and by mid-November they were torn and completely unusable as each time you squeezed the handles the tear widened and prevented the metal cutting pieces from mating properly. . These were the pair I keep in a cup holder in my van. So is there a possibility that the low temperatures have affected them? Fiskers have a lifetime warranty so I plan on sending them in for a replacement. In the meantime I bought this pair from Revain, they are a perfectly identical pair except I can't choose a pattern. I have the camo and they are really good but they are a bit hard to find in the chaos of a family of 3 compared to the pink and orange tie pair I chose earlier :)
