Review on 🔧 Refurbished Garmin Vívoactive GPS Smartwatch by Ronald Cambridge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good device, highly recommended

I've been using the Pebble Time for a few years now and I'm happy with it. I bought a new phone in mid-September and the Pebble app is not available on Android 9 which runs the new phone. I bought a Fitbit Versa but returned it after a short time because it didn't stay connected to my phone and therefore didn't provide reliable GPS tracking. After comparing options in the same price range, I settled on the refurbished Vivoactive 3. I'm glad I did as it works flawlessly for me and is very attractive. The user interface is very logical and easy to use. It has its own GPS, so doesn't depend on your phone for GPS data and doesn't need a connection during recording and activity. I've never found it detached from my phone, which is important as I use it as a secure smart lock device to keep my phone open. I don't find the battery life to be outstanding, at least not with the watchface I use, but that doesn't bother me since I plug it into the charging cable every night anyway. With the screen unlocked, you can long press the screen against your body, which will bring up the settings menu and change the watch face. My answer is to set up a screen lock when the activity is being recorded and manually lock it after I stop and save the activity.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
