The mug is so pretty to look at. Mint is similar to soft teal. but I had a few blisters on the wood surface where the polish seemed to be peeling off. not a big problem to go through the return process but i was a bit surprised by the price of this item. Something I was wondering about: the wooden lid doesn't sit flush with the mug. it is flush with the sieve that runs between the cup and the wooden lid. I was curious as I bought it partly to brew tea with a tea bag (and not use a strainer). the top is still suitable for brewing tea in the bag, but is a bit loose and can slip. in general meets all my needs.
