The mug is so pretty to look at. Mint is similar to soft teal. but I had a few blisters on the wood surface where the polish seemed to be peeling off. not a big problem to go through the return process but i was a bit surprised by the price of this item. This mug looks much better in person. I didn't think it would be anything special, but it has a really sleek design and is larger than my original mugs (I've attached photos for comparison). A strainer (I think) is what you get in places like Teavana. It's nice and big and can hold a large amount of loose leaf tea. This is a nice cup and feels good in the hand. Some cups are heavier in one place than another. But not this cup, I can hold it and it's balanced, I don't get tired and don't feel like I need to correct the way I'm holding the cup to improve grip. The brew basket is a wonderful thing, it really helps my tea leaves open up and brew the perfect cup of hot tea in the morning. WHY 3 stars: My problem is that it broke.
