New lever bolts on and accepts a threaded connecting rod. I left the tie rod set the same as the original arm, but the new arm was much lower, it didn't engage at all because the arm hit the footpeg. I had to twist the lever on the transmission side a bit to get the shifter to the correct height. The other issue was that after tightening the pivot bolt there was still side to side play in the arm and I didn't feel secure during the shift so I made a thin plastic washer to take up the extra space and screwed that on screw in with thread lock. Looks good and feels good, I already like the adjustable tip.
