(Don't hold the # key - just press and release) Voila!' THE PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS COMING WITH THE DEVICE ARE COMPLETELY WRONG on how to pair with the base (slightly shocked, Plantronics (dem which Clarity owns) doesn't know more about this fact.) I did what Kelly listed above and it took about 5 seconds to pair with no issues.
