Review on 🎣 Columbia Women's PFG Bahama II UPF 30 Long Sleeve Fishing Shirt: A Must-Have for Stylish Protection in the Outdoors by Colton Scheehl

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The fabric is too heavy for me and feels less breathable than alternatives

I was expecting the shirt to be roomy and loose as it is - I think it's designed to allow air can circulate around your body - but I didn't. Don't expect such a heavy, dense fabric. I believe it offers excellent SPF 50 sun protection, but I was also looking for a light, breathable shirt. Just wearing it at home (temp 68 degrees) didn't feel cool and I can't imagine being comfortable in the northern Arizona heat this summer. I use the Columbia Tamiami II which is much lighter and feels more breathable. It also has the relaxed, relaxed fit I'd expect from a shirt like this, and the lightweight fabric should be cooler and more breathable, although that means it doesn't protect from the sun. It has an SPF 30 rating, so I might need to wear sunscreen underneath if I'm away for a long time. It's a compromise I'm willing to make because I can't stand the heat due to my health condition. If you're more interested in full sun protection and aren't concerned about overheating, I think Bahama II is a better choice. It just doesn't suit me. Revain also has ExOfficio Sol Cool tops so I'm going to try them too. So far they're really cooling my body but still have SPF 50. It's hard to find the right balance between avoiding more skin cancer brushes and not overheating.
