It's hard to find a drawer liner that matches the item, or at least doesn't look secondary to the item you're using it on. I wanted something that looked professional. Floor by removing the 45 year old burgundy lining, heat the adhesive underneath with a hair dryer and peel off, then sand the wood floor smooth. It is important that the surface you are applying to is as smooth as possible. A small piece of wood shavings looks like a big marble when I put it on top. It was easy to lie down with the edge of the ruler while walking. A small squeegee or even a credit card will also work. I was then able to trim off the excess around the edges with a razor. The fabric is thin enough that the bottom of the drawer snaps back into place without folding or scratching, while still maintaining an elegant look. Its pile is long enough to prevent objects placed on it from slipping. It can be wiped clean with warm water without leaving a ring. The gray color is a little pinkish purple as you can see in the photos, not a real grey.
