I bought these to run a 5m strip of ws2812 RGB LEDs that I have and they work fine. The remote is a radio controller, so you don't have to be in line of sight of the receiver, and you don't have to deal with a stupid IR receiver pointed at the ground or some other useless place (a friend has a controller with this design flaw, doesn't this). The patterns are beautiful and you can control the speed and brightness of each pattern, which adds a lot of flexibility. No to cons. The thing has about 200 different lighting modes, of which I have to say only 30 of them are worth considering. Many of them are just a colored dot going down a strip of a different color. Not that great to look at. For the price I'm lucky if that's the biggest complaint I have. Pros Inexpensive wireless remote Has good lighting effects Cons Most lighting effects cost the memory they are stored in. Time will tell if this controller will hold up.
