I bought this inverter because of the low no-load power consumption and the fan that only runs under high load or high temperature. These properties as well as the well-made design of this inverter impress me. I abused the inverter and got great help from Voltworks tech support. While using this inverter on a hike, I reversed the polarity of the battery and shorted out the inverter. There are four 30A ATC fuses in the inverter that must be replaced after a short circuit. The end plates are mounted with 8 triangular head screws which must be removed, this requires a triangular head screwdriver and removal was a problem as triangular head screwdrivers were not available at the local hardware store. After replacing the fuses, I rewired the end plates using 8 sheet metal Phillips #4 screws. When speaking to Voltworks tech support I mentioned an issue removing the triangular bolts, future products may be fitted with other fasteners.
