I have been searching for years for a cover such as this one. The price is a steal compared to others which have been discontinued. I have the mid-2009 A1297 model and all ports are accessible to include the ExpressCard/34 slot. The bottom cover has rubber feet so you don't have to worry about it sliding around. I am extremely happy to finally have found this case.

Bought this for my 2009 MacBook Pro 17-inch which I still use regularly. It's the only one in existence (that I've been able to find) after Speck discontinued theirs. This one seems far more durable and better made with stronger mounting points than the Speck one. Highly recommend!

I keep my 17” MacBook Pro on a LITERAL pedestal/ stand and NEVER move it. I purchased this case 3 years ago and I only use the thing to manage iPads/pods/download/security updates not even shop and rarely do anything else. I made dinner alone, the case was intact, I came back and it SPONTANEOUSLY cracked. I don’t have any pets bot house guests at the time. I also don’t have any history of poltergeist. I plan to repurchase cause only game in town but I’m pissed.

For long time i was searching for i ruberized case for my macbook pro17 late 2011 . And all i find a hard clear plastic and its was cost more than 200$ . But with this product i can tel for all who was searching like me. Buy it with your eyes closed its comfy and click on the macbook pro body at the right place at once feels and look great . This case is perfect for my 17" mac book pro. Saw all the comments on how it does not fit right, etc. Well it snapped right on and have no problems with it at all. Looks and feels great. Can definitely tell my laptop from others in our family when we are all together. They are all wanting to get one of these cases too after seeing mine.

Was the only thing I could to fix my mbp 17. Had to pay high price and then extra for the dark colored version of the shell. But after weeks of looking this was the only one I found.

My MacBook Pro comes tomorrow, but upon unboxing. The product had a very foul smell to it. Like someone had wiped their ass with it and then boxed it. As odd/funny as that may sound. This case will definitely do the job I wanted which was to keep any scratches off my MacBook but I would have liked it to be a little sturdier and thicker plastic. It does seem pretty flimsy and am wondering if I could remove it without it breaking if I wanted to. It is very hard to find a case that you can leave on when using the computer so was happy to find this. It does not hinder any of the ports etc. I would have given it a 5 star review if it was a bit better quality.

This rubberized hard case for the MacBook Pro 17" is a great choice for protection and comfort of use. Before I got this case, using the MacBook on my bare lap wasn't very feasible. Case was delivered as expected and looks great on my MacBook Pro. The only drawback is when the computer gets hot, the entire bottom she'll of the case doesn't dissipate the heat but holds it instead.
