I bought this for my wife because she has a lot of baby records and she was dying to play them for our 1 year old. The device has the advantage of being able to play CDs, cassettes and Bluetooth for MP3 players or other Bluetooth devices. It can also burn recordings to CDs. The sound quality of the speakers is fantastic. Of course, it won't replace a good surround sound system, but it's loud enough and the sound is good. Not tinny at all, full sound. My wife has been using it every day since we bought it and is now buying new old records to play on.
