Review on 2.4GHz 36DBi Outdoor High Gain USB Wi-Fi Range Extender Antenna For RV, Marine & PCs - TUOSHI N4000 by Quintin Boner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's decent for what it is.

I've had the N4000 for a few years and received it as a gift so that I could get a connection from the main house. While it does have a decent connection, over the months it has started to drop connection a lot and more frequently as of late. It has two USB 2.0 connections, but I have no clue what the second one is supposed to do and I can't find any info about it. Putting it without the extension thing doesn't do anything, but when I plug it in with it, it says it connects, but I don't really notice a difference., so if anyone has any info, that'd be nice. Otherwise, if you need it, get it because it does get the job done. The range is good, the connectivity is pretty good when it's not blocked by anything. If you want to spend the extra $30, get the dual-band for a better connection.

Pros
  • The small size and easy installation make it perfect for travelers who need to set up quickly and on-the-go
Cons
  • May be difficult to aim for optimal signal strength
