You get what you pay for.

I have installed 10 of these wifi6 AP EWS377's since they have been released in business environments. Anyone who does wireless installs for a living understands the fact you need to do a Wi-Fi site survey first to see what the current Wi-Fi environment is like before you install any Wi-Fi enabled device in a business or even your home. Most access points use manufacturer defaults and have very little adjustment of the AP radio settings. This unit is fully adjustable on both Radios and needs to

Pros
  • ‎EWS377-FIT
Cons
  • Does not come with a power adapter, requiring an additional purchase

One firmware away from 5 Stars

First, let us get this out there. This is not an AP for your home. This is not a "let me hold your hand" and give you cool graphics like a Ubiquiti access point. This is made for the enterprise. As such it is not 100% plug and play. It will not do routing. This is not a residential router/wifi combo. The enterprise space has dedicated routers, switches, and modems. So enterprise level access points like this do not have to do all that. It does one thing and one thing very well. Provide wireless

Pros
  • ● 2.5 GbE realizes greater throughput and supports 802.3at & 48V PoE input for flexible installation over 100 meters (328 feet)
Cons
  • May not support all security protocols required by certain businesses or organizations

Easy to set up, just works

I can strongly recommend this for a technical audience. If you know what a spanning tree is, the difference between a router and a switch, and how to configure a static Windows/MacOS/Linux network interface, why an AP might wish to convert multicast to unicast, then this is a product for you. If not, expect a learning curve.I got the EnG 30W PoE injector with this. Simply plug in the laptop (or computer) into the PoE LAN port, the AP into the PoE port, configure the ethernet interface to…

Pros
  • ● Supports up to 2,400 Mbps in 5-GHz frequency band & 1,148 Mbps in 2.4-GHz frequency band
Cons
  • May require additional licenses for certain management tools

Great AP for money in my review

Great AP for the money. EWS377APv3 is very stable on latest firmware. ezMaster controller software is ok - not great, slightly buggy, but mostly works for configuring multiple APs with the same setting and getting firmware up-to-date. Notable misses - cannot select lowest mandatory bit rate for APs in an AP group - you have to configure APs individually and then join the group. Calling ezMaster a controller is a stretch - it is mostly a bulk configuration wizard. It displays some stats, but is…

Pros
  • ‎9.65 x 9.65 x 3.35 inches
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain operating systems or software

Fast! Very Fast! best in my review

I bought three of these along with a matching switch with built in controller I will likely have to replace in the future because these access points are capable of more than the 1G ports on the only reasonably priced switch that powers these. They are fast, as in hitting speeds between wired Realtek and wired Intel NICs! Over 900Mbit's in perf. The coverage is remarkable, even on the back side of the unit you get decent speeds. Now the bad, not sure if i's these units specifically OR endemic to…

Pros
  • Its PoE+ compatibility means that you can easily power the access point through a network cable, saving you the hassle of finding an electrical outlet
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who require a lot of customization options

Finally. Reliable and affordable AP. Perfect for Home use.

First impression (8/6/20).Positive: Very, very, very strong 2.4 GHz signal (impressed! resolve all IoT and old "n" wifi TVs connections issues all over the house) and strong 5G GHz. Easy setup. Not dependent on "cloud" or controllers. Updated to current 3.7.4 firmware version - fast and easy.WiFi security options: WPA2, WPA3, WPA2/WPA3 - each Personal or Enterprise. Easy select 2.4 or 5 or both for each of 8 possible SSID. Very stable connection.Switch to this from UniFi FlexHD which gave me…

Great; has a drawback though. Still recommended

I like the 4x4 ax AP. However, it didn’t pass the sniff test (the packet variety) on Suricata (router, Netgate) with it’s unusual DNS requests that are mimicked and used to provide other services beyond standard DNS. It took a month or so for Tech Support to confirm the flagged traffic is what it is (non-DNS, but using "DNS”) for other features. I don’t like having the lack of control over when it comes to something I paid for. I have various other EnGenius APs, such as EnStation and ENS1750. I

Excellent For the Price

I work in IT and have a good working knowledge of networking. Gigabit internet is scheduled for installation at the house in under a month so I've been working on upgrading the home network in preparation. Ethernet has been run so now the last thing was to install an access point fast enough to avoid bottlenecking the new connection and allow for fast local file transfers. I setup a PfSense box with multi gig NICs (including one with POE+ output) and was off to the races. Configuration was a…

Pros
  • Work as it should linked into are system in rv park.
Cons
  • Price point may be too high for budget-conscious consumers

Solid AX Access Point

Works, solid connection, about 4x the throughput of my older AC access point that I was using previously.By default this will receive a DHCP address from your router, you'll be best off connecting to your router to see what IP address was assigned by default, and possibly reassign. Default user:pass for web configuration app is admin:admin and will be prompted to change on first access. The device will use it's own DHCP service for "Guest" network access, which will shield your primary LAN from…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • May experience interference from other wireless devices

Very solid Wireless Access Point (WAP)

I have had zero issues with this device since I got it installed; current uptime is over 4days. Before I ever added it to my network I updated the firmware to make sure everything was up to date; update process was easy and straight forward. I have the WAP setup with four different SSIDs that are tied to different vlans on the network which allows me to separate IoT devices from the rest of my devices. Additionally I have one dedicated vlan / SSID for my children's devices which allows me to…

Pros
  • With its WiFi 6 AX3600 technology, this access point offers lightning-fast speeds for users who require high bandwidth usage, whether for work or entertainment
Cons
  • May require additional hardware to support certain power over Ethernet (PoE) setups

Easy to Install: my feedback

it's very easy to install. you can do standalone which i did. i did not install any other apps to configure or install. Instruction that came with it is really small but straightforward so far liking it. installed it in the office and older printers that have wifi reconnected into it. added guess access which was pretty easy. upgraded the firmware, created a backup of the config and created schedules for when the wifi will be turned off and scheduled the AP to restart/reboot. now i want to get…

Pros

Cons
  • May require additional configuration in order to provide optimal performance

so it seems when i added to my existing system . they worked fine . but as soon as I updated the firmware it bricked 3 access points . because i am a listed dealer for engenius i finally got a tech on the phone days after emailing and trying to call. Engenius has discontinued phone support in general 3 years ago . their answer was to reset my controller and all access points in my system (8 of them to factory and try rebuilding the entire config ) after 2 hours trying everything else . there is

Pros

A bit clunky when it comes to firmware updates.

While this product does perform well, it is a bit clunky when it comes to firmware updates. Rather than an internal check process where you can either click a button to check or automatically be polled and informed if an update is ready, you are required to manually and independently check the website for current firmware is available. And that part is not really covered well -- you actually have to initiate a download of the firmware to see what version it is and then decide if you need to…

Pros
  • With 1GB of RAM, this access point can support multiple users and devices simultaneously without any lag or jitter
Cons
  • May not support all IEEE standards required by certain networks

These ARE NOT a DIY product.

If you notice some people love this and some people hate it. Networking isn't as simple as plug it in and have strong WiFi. I have a large house with four of these and my wireless is basically flawless with 80+ smart devices connected. I can pull 300-400mpbs from every part of m

Great AP, except for

These are powerful AP, but the roaming features are not available without using enterprise encryption. That causes a client to stay on an AP with lower signal for longer. Turning on Enterprise encryption will cause most IoT devices to not work with it. These are much more powerful than the Ubiquiti 6LR. Unfortunately, the roaming is broken and the interface is not as nice. It will take 3 Ubiquiti LR to replace 2 of these, and probably still not cover the area as well. Also, the mounting is…

Pros
  • The sleek and modern design of this access point means that it will fit seamlessly into any environment, whether it’s a business setting or a home office
Cons
  • May be too advanced for those who simply require basic wireless connectivity
