Review on 📻 High-Performance Crosley CR612B-BK Corsair Tabletop AM/FM Bluetooth Radio with CD Player and Dual Alarm Clock in Sleek Black by Sean House

I bought this unit to replace an old TEAC unit of a similar style (see photo). I kept TEAC on my bookshelf long after my CD player stopped working, simply because I liked the look of it. As soon as the top door wouldn't stay closed, I had to replace it. The Crosley block basically looks the same. The addition of Bluetooth connectivity is a nice upgrade so I can stream content from my smartphone. I love listening to BBC3 while I read. The sound quality is decent, maybe not as deep as the TEAC. I had to return my first device when the display went blank. It reoccurred when I unplugged the power and plugged it back in. I raised the issue with Crosley Support. They offered me to exchange the block through Revain. This was done very effectively. It doesn't cost me anything. Revain even sent a replacement before receiving the old unit. Imagine this honor system in late 2019. (Of course they have my credit card details, just in case). The plug-in unit works fine, but I had another instance where the display went blank and required unplugging and plugging back in. I also noticed that the CD keys are very slow to respond. I wonder if the manufacturer used the highest quality components. The radio power was sufficient. The analog setting is part of the charm of the device. I live in a crowded radio market, so random broadcasts don't bother me when I'm looking for the right station. Not everyone will agree with me. All in all, this is hardly an audiophile quality device. We're talking Crosley, not BOSE. Still, this would make the perfect gift for someone who loves old-school electronics but isn't super picky.
