Review on Noico 80 mil 10 sqft Car Sound Deadening Mat: Premium Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener for Ultimate Audio Noise Insulation and Dampening by Rahman Lassiter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best ratio of sound insulation.

TBH, RAAM Matte is the best material but I can't quite justify the price. This material is about the same thickness and a fraction of the price. 80 mil is the thickest material you will find on the market. I have almost completely covered the rear half of my hatchback - leg wells, rear seat wells, fenders, trunk, spare tire well, tailgate etc with 2 packs. Don't expect miracles from this or any other product. The difference wasn't significant, but there was a noticeable reduction in low-frequency road rumble. Adding Ensolite on top gave me a more noticeable difference as most of my noise is higher in the spectrum. Your experience may vary. I still have 2 packs to get and work on the doors, front floor, legroom and firewall and it's going to be as good as it gets. All in all, I find this material to be the best value for money. I don't think the more expensive products will give you better results and this way you get much more bang for your buck. Incidentally, I had a rubber applicator roller and it was completely useless. The roller was not stiff enough and the surface area was too large to compress the mat according to the manufacturer's specifications. I ended up using the end of a large screwdriver to rub it in and it worked much better. save your money
