I'm not sure where I stand on them.

Not sure if this is any better than hand cleaning. I think it depends on what you're cleaning. You need a good reliable drill. I found them just as difficult to clean as I do by hand when trying to clean large areas like the shower. Probably best suited for smaller problem areas or stubborn stains that require more energy to remove.
