BARSKA Compact Ball Head

I am very impressed with this very affordable ball head. I've been using a Manfrotto pistol grip ball head with my Canon 40D since 2008. I recently bought a Fuji X-T1, a much smaller and lighter camera body and system. Manfrotto head tension is difficult to adjust. With this compact Barska ball head I use a Neewer 4-way macro focus guide with a Fuji X-T1, a vintage Nikkor lens on a Fotodiox adapter and an extension tube! I tilt all this stuff slightly which makes it very difficult for the Barska ball head as the entire weight of the devices is perpendicular to gravity. Barska keeps the situation perfectly under control. Better than the Manfrotto pistol grip ball head. I think it should be remembered that this is a compact ball head. I wouldn't expect it to work well with a full-size DSLR the size of a Canon 5DIII or larger, or a Nikon D800s or larger. Maybe if there's a telephoto lens with a lens tripod to balance things out better, but I think this Barsca is best suited to compact system cameras with interchangeable lenses.
