Magnet inserts were not installed to the correct depth in both 9/16 sockets. I had to use a puncher to drive it deeper into the socket to use sockets to switch plugs on the 17 Escape. I haven't tried 5/8 sockets, but I can find that inserts install differently on 5/8 sockets than on 9/16. I don't see how 5/8 would work properly. I'll update this after testing 5/8 jacks but I assume they won't work properly. Photos will also be added later. UPDATE: Tried 5/8 socket today. They fit on spark plugs without modifications. I also uploaded a photo in two different sizes. The socket on the left is 5/8, as you can see the magnet faces the socket opening and can easily accommodate the insulator. The one on the right shows no obvious magnet, just a blue plastic insert. You can't see the magnet as it was on the back and too small to even go through the top metal part of the spark plug. I'm assuming I just got a bad batch of 9/16 sockets, they still work in their current modified form, but I don't need to modify the new tool to make it work.
