Review on Bilstein 19 103150 B4 Shock Absorber by Andrew Lyons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I tried doing just the fronts and had a good impression of the stability but opted for the backs.

WILL NOT BE CHEAPER. GET THE ENTIRE SET! I tried doing just my fronts and felt a nice jump in stability but decided to do the rear as well to see if it would be different and WOW. as if I had a car again! Believe me. You can't go wrong if you want to regain a sporty handling when cornering and braking. It doesn't matter how bad @ss your tires are or what springs you have. if your shock absorbers and struts have burned out. all for free (ask me how I know that). Put them on and surprise me! Installed, driven 200 km and so far so good. The ride is the same as the new E46 and not harsh at all. Replaced by OEM Sachs at 125,000 and a slight improvement over worn struts (noticeable when cornering and changing lanes on the Autobahn at higher speeds). For half the price of a Bilstein B6 HD I am happy with my purchase. If my car was newer I would make the h6 stiffer but I plan on driving it for another 2-3 years and selling it, that helped. If you have more than 50,000 miles on your BMW, then your struts / shock absorbers are definitely worn out. Trade for b6 for 50,000 and get your fill and enjoy the rest of the car's life!
