Review on 💾 Western Digital 1TB WD Green SSD - High-Speed SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5"/7mm, 550 MB/s by Michael Bressler

The write speed is very slow, I get a maximum of 250 MB/s and often the transfer speed drops to single digit MB/s. I've used several laptops at very high speeds. We have another brand's SSD that consistently delivered over 400MB/s for the same external USB-C drive enclosure (which was rated at 10Gb/s). Read speeds are decent, you can hit just over 1Gbps, but writes don't compare to the money paid. As a backup drive, I need a fast and stable write speed. No meaning to me, or possibly inconsistent quality.
