A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

did not feel a strong difference between hdd and this ssd. Yes, slightly faster write / read speed. But it does not compare in difference with ssd m2. For that kind of money, it's easier to still buy a regular hard drive for 2TB and another half will remain. You won't feel much of a difference.

You need to pay $40 for the cloning software.

After buying the 1T block I wanted to clone my hard drive. I went to Western Digital. com and download SSD manager app and select "Clone Disk". When I did this, I received a message that the software was out of date and I clicked the link provided. When I did, WD was advertising the Acronis software for $40. My heart sank after spending $110 on a CD. I feel excluded. Can I request a refund? I thought a $110 SSD would let me clone for free? It seems like the whole computer/electronics worldโ€ฆ

Reliability and performance WD SSD 1TB

It was easier to install and connect to the network than I originally thought. It took about 30 minutes to transfer the OS to the SSD and after a reboot it was online. While it is recommended to use a 240GB to 512GB SSD for this, there are some programs that need or need to be installed on the c drive. Only loss was in the folder with the "Download" files. He disappeared. It doesn't have much on it, but the backup was on an external drive. I'm waiting for the replacement of ordinary HD withโ€ฆ

  • Quality build

Not worth the price

The write speed is very slow, I get a maximum of 250 MB/s and often the transfer speed drops to single digit MB/s. I've used several laptops at very high speeds. We have another brand's SSD that consistently delivered over 400MB/s for the same external USB-C drive enclosure (which was rated at 10Gb/s). Read speeds are decent, you can hit just over 1Gbps, but writes don't compare to the money paid. As a backup drive, I need a fast and stable write speed. No meaning to me, or possiblyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Socket required

Western Digital Drive Amazing

I bought a Western Digital (WD) 1TB drive to replace my wife's desktop computer. An SSD (solid state drive) plus an imaging software download from the WD website made it easy to copy all the files and programs. Since then, the new drive has worked flawlessly and loads programs much faster than the old drive. I think the investment was worth it. Since the new drive had more space than the old one, I had to find a free downloadable program online that would increase the new drive's partition size

Solved my problem with Windows 10

Windows 10 was so slow that I wanted to throw the machine out the window. Login was slow. Minutes passed, many minutes before the machine overran the C: drive. The task manager says that drive C: is 100% loaded. I couldn't figure out what exactly was rattling. But I noticed that the average drive response time during the overload was typically hundreds of milliseconds (but returned to normal after the overload stopped). It was a problem. So I decided to replace the WD Blue mechanical drive with

Western Digital Customer Support ERROR

SSD has not backed up within a year of use. I contacted WD support and, after LOTS of exchanges, almost a week later. You have chosen to allow returns (RMA). I have completed their "Advanced Replacement" process. After that, the exchange took about 9 days. This drive ALSO had a problem and I contacted WD support again. who said he would send another replacement drive. After several days of waiting, I managed to set up the FIRST replacement using 3rd party software. and I tried to return the bad

Saved my Dell Inspiron from crashing

A few years ago I bought a processor for a Dell Inspiron (I3) laptop with the intention of him as a spare. . The PC suffered from a miserable boot time - up to 35 minutes. I couldn't fix it in task manager. I tried replacing the standard 1TB hard drive with a 1TB WD Green hard drive. Download time <1 minute (about 30 seconds). The computer responds quickly. Installation took 2.5-3 hours. I used Acronis to clone HD. It took a long time to prepare the original CD. Maybe 30 minutes writing toโ€ฆ
