Review on Fostex T50RP MK3 Semi-Open 🎧 Studio Headphones, Designed for Professional Use by Aashit Akkineni ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

There are no perfect headphones, but these are definitely worth listening to and drawing conclusions for yourself. Personally, I really like the sound, the rest let everyone decide for himself. I will write down a few practical points: 1) I repeat what everyone writes and says - you need an amplifier. Without an amplifier, only macbook pro was able to give an acceptable sound, I tried it on air and phones - it will not work. 2) Many complain about the comfort of wearing - I feel comfortable. Probably depends on the shape of the head. 3) After warming up, the sound changes very significantly in a good way. 4) The headphones are semi-open type and I had some doubts about the fact that the sound can interfere with others. But at medium volume, with the headphones fully on, almost nothing is heard by others. But, if you want to listen to your favorite music at high volume at night, there may be inconvenience. I am writing a comment not so much to give some new information, but to add reviews to this earphone and draw attention to them. It seems to me that very few people know about Fostex, but in vain. For their money they are very interesting. And there is a lot of information on them on the Internet, mainly in foreign forums. - After some time of use, I decided to add a review. The ear pads from Shure fit perfectly, the panorama became even wider, the bass did not suffer. Isodynamics do not choke even on complex scenes, all frequencies are in their places. The tops are not only detailed, but also very natural. If they are not cut off by the noise reduction on the recording, then there is a soft loop, which is usually lost on other headphones. The sound is very natural, slightly distant from the listener. But for some, this may be a disadvantage. Sometimes you can hear the shortcomings of the recording, which are smoothed out in other ears. Honest sound is not always the most juicy and bright, so it all depends on what you listen to. But that's exactly the sound I was looking for. Still, the classic dynamic emitter initially has many shortcomings that are difficult to fix. Now I really want to listen to electrostats.

Pros
  • Sound Detachable wire Removable ear pads Build quality is better than expected Sit comfortably Interesting retro design, I like it
Cons
  • Ears sweat after listening for a long time. I ordered velor ear pads (from Shure), I'll see how the sound and comfort change.
