Good. I went through many printers! However, of all the printers I have tried, I find the BROTHER brand to be the best. I've had: Lexmark, Canon, HP etc just to give you an idea. The brother lives longer than everyone else. I have used this to temporarily replace my 5 year old Brother MFC-845CW which, despite being 5 years old? I love this printer so much I'm willing to pay to have it fixed! I picked this one for its simplicity. It doesn't scan, fax or copy like my other brother, but it prints nice crisp black and white images. ALSO, and this is such a plus because ink can cost a fortune, this printer allows you to use a "HIGH Yield" ink cartridge that will produce about 1200 copies for about $50! Most of my papers are black and white anyway, so for under $100 this was a smart buy in my book. I keep the MFC inkjet printer for color photos and other color copies that I need. I'll tell it like it is, so I highly recommend this printer. Bonus? THIS IS A LASER! This means pages won't smudge with ink when they get wet and a nice clean print! Take it! Save money, Brother is a proven workhorse! :)
