I make grain free waffles for my husband every day and sometimes they are hard to get out of the waffle maker. The tool I had previously had thin "fingers" and worked well, but the rubber coating came off leaving exposed metal to scratch the waffle iron plates. This new tool is made entirely of hard silicone, but unfortunately the fingers are too big and curved to fit and release the wafer, so I went back to carefully using the release fork and tovolo tongs to hold the hot wafer . This tool is well made, has a great price, but it just didn't work for my specific needs.
