Yes, I'm one of those Linux geeks. I recently had to work from home due to COVID-19 and needed to duplicate my work environment at home. I use two monitors at work, but my home office only had one. Adding another monitor to your Windows PC is easy, you can choose from a variety of USB->HDMI devices and give Windows Credits - it just works. It's not easy to find one that works with Linux, I already had a USB -> HDMI device, but it was USB 2.0 and while it worked fine on my Windows laptop, it worked on my LINUX office PC Not. Then I found this adapter so I ordered it and when it arrived I plugged it into my USB 3.0 port, plugged in a monitor and turned on the computer. I then went to the display and to my surprise the system showed the USB adapter and the monitor. I set up the display and BOOM both monitors worked. Response is very good, resolution as crisp as this monitor used to be when plugged into the main HDMI port. Very well done!
