Review on HIUMI by Jason Hill

HIUMI is a Bad Option for Hikers and Campers

As a lifelong fan of the great outdoors, I couldn't wait to give HIUMI a try with my most recent gear buy. However, my interactions with the business were largely unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend their services to anyone seeking excellence. To begin with, HIUMI's merchandise offerings were unimpressive. Despite the store's claims that they sell "everything from fishing rods to hunting rifles," I found their selection to be lacking in both diversity and depth. There wasn't a lot to choose from, and I felt like there were better choices at other outdoor stores. The worst part of my HIUMI experience, though, was dealing with their unhelpful customer support staff. I contacted customer service with some inquiries about a product they offered, but they were rude and unhelpful, providing me with evasive and uninformative answers. Their online ordering method was slow and clumsy, which made buying my items a tedious and annoying experience. When my order eventually arrived, I was even more dissatisfied by the low quality of the items. Both the fishing reel I ordered and the hunting jacket I bought seemed poorly built and broke after only a few uses. In sum, I was disappointed with HIUMI and would advise anyone thinking about making a purchase from them to seek elsewhere. As an outdoor gear retailer, they fall short due to a lack of variety, unhelpful staff, and low-quality goods.

Pros
  • formed alliances with other organizations in an effort to preserve the environment.
Cons
  • Unreliable quality control.
