While I think the AMD Ryzen 3 series is impressive and remarkable, single is -Thread performance too important in the long run. I run a performance monitoring application 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to know exactly where my bottlenecks are. 95% of the time my system is waiting for the CPU it has idle cores, but one or more of the loaded cores are busy - a single thread bottleneck. This happens in a variety of applications from my IDE to a web browser to video games. AMD has several products at this price that can handle this with fully multithreaded workloads. However, very few workloads are thread enough to benefit from it. If you're running multi-threaded workloads like compression or rendering, look elsewhere. However, if you're a typical power user, you'll likely find better everyday performance with a processor like this.
