Very quick and easy to read
The reading seems to be instantaneous or at least a few seconds for high temperature foods and as far as I can tell it is accurate. I've used it to check food coming out of the fryer and also out of the oven. Very easy to use, just pull the metal wire out of the case and it turns on and is easy to read. Inexpensive, easy to clean (just wipe the tip) and the red color made it easy to find in my stuffed utensil drawer.
