Toxic Burnt Cooking Plastic

I really wanted to use these pans, I'm against it because it was a healthier choice, but it turned out to be the most toxic item in the New York kitchen. I use a gas stove and the handle is lit when I cook. The whole house smells of horribly toxic burnt plastic. I have young children and it took me a full day to get rid of the smell after cooking for less than a minute (I turned off the stove and put the pot outside as soon as I realized what had happened). other pans with plastic handles that I've used in the same stove for years that don't burn when cooking. Maybe the material used for the handle is different, or maybe they're made in a way that the handle isn't that close to the fire. Something is wrong with this Greenpan design. I wanted to make a healthy choice, but instead I made a toxic choice.
