Review on The Panasonic DMR-EZ475VK: Ultimate Progressive Scan DVD Recorder & More! by Mike Meyers

Avoid this car. Worst Panasonic product I have ever had.

I am writing this from the perspective of a professional television production engineer. I've always had great respect for Panasonic commercial and consumer electronics and have owned many of their fine VCRs and TVs over the years, but this unit is an exception. problems? It refuses to burn any brand of DVD-RW. It often freezes [usually at the end] when playing pre-recorded DVDs and needs to be turned off completely by holding the "Off" button for half a minute. Sometimes it refuses to finalize its own discs. The commercial skip feature [skip 1 minute] would be great if it didn't stop working after finalizing a disc! Strange. And as if that weren't enough, even the clock is broken: it's a few seconds off EVERY DAY, making timer recording problematic. CONCLUSION: Chinese junk with a Japanese label. Don't buy this.
