LOVE these hoop earrings. The material stays in place while you work. The only complaint is that the screw doesn't seem to tighten after about 20 quilt squares.

I've been embroidering since I was a teenager and have tried many hoops over the years (I'm 71) but these just don't work for me. First, all the screws didn't move at the beginning, they didn't turn. I had to spray them with WD40 to loosen them and even then it was difficult to turn the screw. Second, they don't hold the material under tension no matter how hard I pull, otherwise my material would sag. They are beautiful but I am sooooo disappointed. I cannot recommend them.

I love crafting and prefer the framing for most cross stitch projects because I have arthritis and the framing is easier to hold. However, frequent dragging of the hoop across the fabric will cause the fabric to clump together or the inner and outer hoop to slip off. I was surprised to see that they have a groove that regular bamboo tires don't have. I feel this groove holds the material tighter so there is no slippage when using thin material which sometimes happens with bamboo hoops. It takes some time to put the material in the embroidery frame and tighten the embroidery frame. I haven't quite figured out how to tighten it without crumpling the material (the groove makes it difficult to just slide over the inner hoop) so I'm hoping there's a trick I need

I used an old but decent cross stitch hoop and decided to try this multipack on a whim. Super glad I did. I was a little skeptical because the plastic tires slide more easily. But the fabric inside them doesn't unravel slowly (or at least not easily) because the inside edges are curved—one convex, the other concave. They snap together for a more secure hold. Snapping is a bit trickier, but it works. Also very happy with the different sizes. If the quality lasts, I will use it for a long time.
