I was surprised to see that they have a groove that regular bamboo tires don't have. I feel this groove holds the material tighter so there is no slippage when using thin material which sometimes happens with bamboo hoops. It takes some time to put the material in the embroidery frame and tighten the embroidery frame. I haven't quite figured out how to tighten it without crumpling the material (the groove makes it difficult to just slide over the inner hoop) so I'm hoping there's a trick I need to figure out. Once I do I'll probably change the rating, but until then I'll give it 4 stars.
