Much better than standard tires. The curved inner edges help a lot.

I used an old but decent cross stitch hoop and decided to try this multipack on a whim. Super glad I did. I was a little skeptical because the plastic tires slide more easily. But the fabric inside them doesn't unravel slowly (or at least not easily) because the inside edges are curved—one convex, the other concave. They snap together for a more secure hold. Snapping is a bit trickier, but it works. Also very happy with the different sizes. If the quality lasts, I will use it for a long time.
