I assembled this broom and tested it around the house. Its bristles cleaned the shaggy carpet in my living room pretty well. It also worked great for sweeping hallway carpets, which is an important test if you don't have a good vacuum. But I bought it for the workshop. Ideal for picking up dirt from garage floors. The length of the handle is just right, although it doesn't feel as strong. But maybe that's because it's 3 parts. It does a great job removing dirt from the cement floor in my garage. It's not the soft bristle broom I thought it would be, but I'm very happy with it.
