The assembly lives up to the high expectations; it works well. If you pay attention while using these headphones, you will hear: 1. ear pads break in over an extended period of time (maybe this is a plus for someone) 2. The joints, hinged mechanisms, and other areas of the headphones that contain mechanics make an extremely annoying rattling and creaking sound. Some pros: The headphones have not even a single joint to be found in their assembly. cable that can be detached (it's cool that there are several of these available). There is nothing paranormal about the sound. Other drawbacks include the fact that the ear pads need to be broken in (a matter of subjectivity), that they are carried comfortably, and that they sit firmly on the ears. The cable is made of rubber and is quite thick. Why are headphones priced at 12,000 and up not available with a cable braid? The swivel joints of the headphones produce an extremely annoying and distracting creaking sound. The problem can be remedied by placing a dab of WD-40 at the site of the articulation; but, I will deduct two points from my total score because this solution costs so much money.
