I love this book. Borrow my favorite sketchbook. I had a 9 x 12 inch notebook, but actually I'm very happy with the 5.5 x 8.5 inch. Pros: - I just got calligraphy markers and watercolor pencils and wanted to practice on paper that wasn't too thin. . These pages are thick enough not to bleed onto the other side, but not too thick if you feel like doodling paper. The smaller size makes it easy to carry and hold while sketching on the go. .-The spiral binding also makes it easier to turn the pages, so you don't have to constantly try to keep the book flat like you would with a regular book binding, e.g. markings etc.
