I needed this to connect my camcorder to an extension cord. I reached through the concrete wall and went outside. I had to protect the place where the plugin is located from the very harsh Chicago elements. I used a dremel to slightly cut out the spine, just big enough to insert an extension plug. I then used the same Dremel to make a small cut in the underside of the plastic to route the camcorder cable to the camera itself. There are places for cutouts/holes for cables on the sides and bottom plastic cover. I'm very pleased as I needed plenty of space to accommodate an outlet and an extra cable from my camcorder which was great. The front cover snaps into place and stays closed in all conditions. I'm sure this will handle heavy rains and snow storms which is a must. There is a seal on the back. When I attached it to the metal box I was using, it made a nice watertight seal! It was perfect for my use and I'm so glad they were this size because I really needed it for the large forks I was using.
