I actually bought it for printing passport photos because its size is good for printing 2x2 passport photos. The main reason for choosing this device is that it is a mini dye sublimation printer. As a former printer driver programmer, I know that nothing beats dye-sublimation when it comes to producing traditional photo-like output. The program is relatively easy to use and gets the job done. I didn't check the battery or anything out of the ordinary as I only had to print a few photos. I did notice the color being cooler but I think firmware updates could fix that but for my purposes and expectations it worked great.
