I connected the supplied power cable to a USB cable that supplies the instrument with 5V DC, from the battery (as shown), the computer's USB port, the mobile phone/tablet charging socket, etc. The sensor temperatures indicate the same temperature In the same environment, I used a small rubber band to keep the two sensors in contact with each other. The photo shows that the difference between the sensors is 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit. I have observed this difference in air and water. I then swapped two sensors on the meter and found the same temperature difference between the sensors. But this time the higher value was the red value, while originally it was blue. So the temperature difference of 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit is caused by the sensors, not the meter. Disconnecting the temperature measurement cables (and power cord) from the meter is difficult because the cable connectors snap into mating connectors on the meter. The two small tabs on the meter connectors must be disengaged from the connectors before the cable connector can be removed. This exercise requires two very small flat head screwdrivers and three hands. I only have two hands, but I was able to do this operation twice. There may be an easier way to remove the cable connectors from the meter, but I haven't found it. If anyone knows the best way to remove cable plugs I'd love to know how! (see photo) (see photo) Red is the temperature (88.0 degrees) at the office ceiling and blue is the temperature 9 inches above the floor. The sun is shining on the roof and a small heater is working (see photo) Red is the temperature (98.0 degrees) read under my tongue and blue is the temperature between the thumb and forefinger of my left hand. My body temperature is always a little low, but not that low. So using my body temperature as a reference, I believe the red reading is 0.2 degrees lower, making my body temperature 98.2 degrees, which means the blue reading is 0.4 degrees lower. Check the upper and lower temperature in the fridge and freezer as well as the house and outside temperature. This thermometer is a very useful device!
