Review on 🗃️ Hefty Jumbo Storage Bags - 2.5 Gallon Size (12 Count) with Easy Slider Closure by Jane Burns

I bought special ziplock bags from the Hefty brand because I needed strong plastic bags that would seal tightly. Unfortunately, they don't close properly, making them completely useless as packaging. I used them for dried pork belly. Despite the name, dry brine releases some liquid because the mixture of salt and sugar pulls the liquid out of the meat. Each of the four pockets I used would not zip up. I then took the time to laboriously seal the top of the pouches with my fingers by pressing the "tab" into the "groove". Each pack was opened immediately and remained intact (with a piece of pork belly inside). It's impossible to fully describe my frustration, in other words, my wife was very angry with me for swearing so much. It sucks doing so much work just to drive to the store and buy branded ziploc bags. I had to reapply the saline as it was leaking from the bags. While curing bacon isn't an exact science, it does require careful measurements. Thank you Hefty Bags for the annoying hassle.
