Review on 🔝 AMP Research BedStep 75325-01A Flip Down Bumper Step for Ram 1500 Classic (2019) & Ram 1500 (2009-2018) by Dan Barrett

2018 Ram Laramie EcoDiesel Dual Exhaust. Needless to say, money well spent. I'm not tall or young so getting in and out was a problem. No longer! I figured if one step saves an ankle sprain or worse, it's worth it. As an engineer I am very satisfied with the design and build quality of all components. Once installed, it is VERY durable; the step is easy to pull out and remove; and the step itself is of good size and rounded edges. All the necessary hardware was included and the assembly/installation instructions were sufficient. Took me about 1 hour to install (but I could redo it in 20 minutes). When attached to a truck it will touch the exhaust pipe as it hangs under its own weight until the bolts are tightened. But hand pressure in the opposite direction when tightening will result in a large gap between the exhaust pipe and the stage structure. I have ok. 3/8 inch clearance when closed (see pic), I'm fine with that. If the exhaust pipe is the same on the petrol version of the Ram there shouldn't be a problem. "Made in the USA" pleases me too - Well done, AMP Research!
