These are - and I can't stress this enough - toothpicks. They make great toothpicks. We use the long ones to pierce sandwiches (because we're UNUSUAL) and I like them to check the cake is done. I guess you could also give them to mice as knight's spears, but then they'll ask you to put on a Renaissance faire, which is a lot of work, so maybe just stick with the usual use of toothpicks.
