Review on 🚴 Upgraded Wolf Tooth Components Roadlink DM for Shimano R8000/R9100, Compatible with 11-36/11-42t Cassettes by Rich Shankar

Uses a Road Link DM with an Ultegra RD-RX800 rear derailleur (the one with the clutch) to shift on an 11-40 cassette, greatly improved overall performance. To be clear, an RX800 rear derailleur with a medium basket can already drive 40 teeth with careful adjustment of screw b, but the shifting efficiency for the lower gears is not optimal due to the lower chain winding. I also found it to be quite sensitive to small differences in cable tension, which made fine-tuning a bit difficult. maxed out to clear top gear (yes, it's important to adjust screw b after installation) and the increased chain wrap helps with shifting. Road link DM is very well done. Still a little pricey for what it is, but it's a simple and easy fix.
