Arrived 4 days earlier than expected - amazing! Installed in 20 minutes. First I turned off the plumbing, removed the panel, unscrewed and removed the handle, unscrewed the 4 Phillips head screws, removed the old cartridge, then removed the gray extension before installing the new one to ensure the replacement part was a snug fit. Then I installed the part, fixed it with a metal plate from the old part with 4 screws, tested it by turning on the water supply, attached a decorative plate and a handle. Finally, apply clear silicone caulk around the trim panel. This makes it very easy to turn on the water and get excellent hot water with the new cartridge, which was not possible with the old cartridge. Excellent smooth operation, no noise!
