This is a great frame but not for my cross stitch. There are no instructions, but assembly is easy to understand. There is a picture for that. The clips are as long as the sides and are too tight for cross stitch fabrics. The frame is only supported on two or three sides by the lower cross braces. I use it as an angle and bought new clamps. You get what you pay for.
