Exactly what I wanted to make myself a sturdy nylon webbing belt. Not flimsy like some webbing and not too heavy either. As it happens, the 36" length is perfect for me and has already been seared at both ends. If you need to cut your webbing and want a good clean seared edge, I suggest taking it to an outdoor store that sells climbing rope (e.g. REI) - unless you have the equipment yourself. Yes, you can cut with scissors and then sear with a lighter, but the results are never as good. Sometimes this doesn't matter but for a belt I like a really clean cut and seal. Walmart also sells many types of belt buckles. Either metal or plastic will work. If you have a nylon belt that you like, such as Bison brand, you can try to find a similar buckle.
